A glimpse of our CSR activities
Promoting primary education
Our team of volunteers taught English to primary school students at the Government Primary School at Bommasandra.
We also donated English-to-Kannada dictionaries for the students and also provided reading desks & library equipment.
A one day Student Interaction Workshop was organized for students of NGO 'Udayan'. A quiz show on energy conservation and a video show were among the many interactive activities.
Promoting well-being of children
A certified doctor with a special team of volunteers conducted a large health and hygiene awareness campaign at the Government High School for girls at Bandapura village and donated sports kits.
Lamp donation drive
Tata Power Solar donated solar lamps to underprivileged children at the Naomundi project site.
Learning from the sun
This unique program developed by Tata Power Solar spreads awareness about solar technology & helps the next generation take steps towards creating a greener future.
Selected students get to visit the Tata Power Solar office (Electronics City) and understand how solar energy works.
Over 200 students have already been part of this program as we look to brighten and educate thousands more in the future.
Women empowerment
A training program on tailoring was conducted & sewing machines were donated ensuring self-employment for six women and benefiting 6 families of the G.S Palya village in Bengaluru.
Supporting the elderly
Volunteers visited Belaku Vridhaashrama in Bangalore - an old age home, and donated essential livelihood commodities.
We also interacted with the senior residents as they shared their incredible life stories with us.
Chennai flood relief
Our employees donated essential commodities to the people affected by the flood via the Tata Sustainability Group.
A special mention goes to two of our employees (Can we have their names please?) who personally assisted in the relief work at the flood sites.
Blood donation drive
Our members donated blood during a campaign organized at our manufacturing facility for use during emergencies and calamities across the state.
Sanitation Facilities at Nagapattinam,
We are building a solar power plant at Nagapattinam and have developed sixteen toilets as per the WHO standard for the residing families.
Tree sapling plantation
To promote a greener environment, our employees planted 160 tree saplings at the employee's dwellings and we also took up the care of the saplings.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan
A team of volunteers conducted Swachh Abhiyaan campaigns at four different Government Schools in Thirupalya, Gollahalli, Anekal & Sai layout, educating the students on the need of the hygiene for a healthy life.
We also conducted a cleaning drive in & around the school campus and encouraged the students to participate in the drive.
